Victorian Breakfast Club (VBC)

Way back in January 2007 a small group of Ulysses members in NSW started meeting for breakfast on the first Sunday of each month and this “morphed “ into the Brooklyn Breakfast Club (BBC).

In December 2013, Victorian member, Dean Wells proposed a Beaumaris Breakfast Club and the first meeting was held in January 2014.  This “morphed” into the Victoria Breakfast Club (VBC) and meetings have been held regularly ever since on the second Saturday of each month with members travelling from as far afield as Echuca and The Grampians.   The meetings have been steadily growing in numbers and been held as far afield as Yea, Seymour, Heathcote, Nagambie, Castlemaine, Malmsbury, Ararat, Geelong, Blackwood, Trentham, Meredith, Kialla, Maldon, Newstead, Rokewood, Harcourt, Bridgewater, Avoca, Eddington, Ballarat, Charlton, Maryborough, Stawell, Mildura, Bacchus Marsh, Rushworth and Halls Gap with several locations being visited more than once.

Much of the success of this is down to Paul Butler (Olfrt) of Echuca who is regularly accompanied by a number of members from his region.  A group from Stawell are also very regular attendees and it has grown steadily with numbers reaching 50 attendees on occasions.   It is a great example of Ulysses camaraderie based around very informal mateship and all Ulysses members are welcome.

A group often rides to the venue on the Friday night, have dinner together, and join the VBC in the morning.
